Does Your Cup Runneth Over?

I've hit 70 pounds finally and sadly I think 69 of those pounds were from my boobs.  This meant I had to shop for new bras.  That's always exciting, what girl doesn't love fun bras, right?

Well sadly and also happily I suppose, I did lose 4 inches in the circumference, but also I lost a cup size.  Actually two cup sizes.  So I no longer have that "muffin top" protruding over the top of my cup.  Therefore, my cup no longer runneth over.

The best news, is that I am now in a bra size that is more commercially available, like Wal-Mart, and I don't have to order them from Lane Bryant anymore.  So now I can get the leopard bra for $12.99 instead of the boring glamorise minimizer suck you in, make you miserable, available in one color for $34.99 plus shipping.

So what did I choose?  The plain white lace, blue lace, coral lace.  I don't think I'm ready for the leopard yet.

Avoiding the Camera

Normally I avoid cameras like the plague or a fresh serving of Brussel sprouts and chicken livers.  However, my cousin Janissa, who also had the surgery, has been taking pictures of herself weekly to record the weight loss.  I can really see the difference so I thought maybe I should take one of me now to see if I could tell a difference.  I did that tonight and posted on Facebook and got many comments that I looked good.  Sometimes what we don't see, others can, and it was a huge boost for my self-esteem and a nice push to remind me that 68 pounds does make a difference.  There is so much more I can do now that I've lost the equivalent of an 9 year old.  Still a long way to go, but the love and support I get from so many of you really helps.  Thank you all for that.  Once I get more confident I'll post a full body picture but for now here is a head shot, check it against the one for the blog...do you see a difference?

Weight Loss Secret

Ok, this is probably not medically approved but it worked.  I can't tell you how to recreate it, but just know that if you are trying to lose weight a stomach virus is not necessarily a bad thing.  It set in Wednesday night and by Thursday I was having a rough time of it.  Pine-Sol had become the air freshner of choice around my bathroom and bedroom.

I was finally able to keep down some crackers late Thursday with chicken and rice for dinner and by Saturday I had gained my strength back but lost 3 pounds.  So, with that little stomach trouble I've brought my weight loss total to 67 pounds.  I need to get 13 more gone by the end of March, that's the goal to keep me on track.
